OUR MISSION
Our mission is to celebrate the service and accomplishments of the USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) while fostering enduring connections between the ship's crew and our vibrant community. We strive to ensure that every Sailor aboard our city’s namesake ship carries with them the spirit, friendship, and rich military heritage of Fort Worth throughout their service.
Since the USS Fort Worth’s christening in 2010 and commissioning in 2012, our efforts have been focused on lifting up the crew and fostering engagement with our community. Whether celebrating milestones, providing support, or enhancing crew morale, we are committed to ensuring the sailors aboard the USS Fort Worth feel the warmth and respect of their Fort Worth family at every step of their journey.
We are excited about our ship’s future as part of the U.S. Navy’s Third Fleet, a combat-ready force that operates in the Pacific Ocean. The USS Fort Worth’s homeport of San Diego puts her at the heart of innovation and naval force readiness.
Through the unwavering involvement of our members, donors, sponsors, and community partners, we work to build lasting bonds with the USS Fort Worth captains, crew members and their families. We aim to create memorable experiences for crew members who may never have stepped foot in Fort Worth before their time on our ship.
Join us at our next event to discover how you can be a part of this incredible journey to strengthen the connection between Fort Worth and the Navy!
"Since the ship’s commissioning, our mission has been to support the USS Fort Worth crew and their families, and we’re proud to keep that commitment strong!" – Retired Navy Capt. Rudy Laco, Past President, USS Fort Worth Support Committee
