Help us out by creating a fundraiser for #GivingTuesday. Step-by-step instructions are here: http://soapbox.wistia.com/videos/6A2lh2Hnw3.
Giving Tuesday is November 28 and the USS Fort Worth Support Committee is working to raise $10,000. The work the Support Committee does recognizes and honors the work of the sailors on the USS Fort Worth while boosting their morale.
Raising $10,000 lets us expand our mission to the sailors. With $10,000 more in our budget, we can send at least one care package per month. We can recognize and honor more sailors for outstanding work and we can invite even more sailors to visit and learn about Fort Worth.
We need your support on Giving Tuesday! Please think about your contribution and start planning how you will give today! Here are thoughts to ponder:
We have over 50 members of the support committee. If each member contributed $100 we would easily reach $5,000 in the first hour of the campaign.
Around 500 people receive our All Hands Bulletin weekly newsletter. If each of you gave $50, we would raise $25,000 But $50 may be too much for your budget, so think about giving $20 which covers the cost of mailing a care package box to the ship.
And if $20 isn’t in your budget, share this post with friends and family. Let’s be honest, we need you to share this post anyway so you can help spread the word that Giving Day is coming!
The USS Fort Worth is back in homeport San Diego! Want to go out and visit our namesake ship and her crew? Get in touch with Kristen@USSFortWorth.org to help plan a San Diego visit for our members!
We are always looking for ways to celebrate the USS Fort Worth and spread awareness in the Fort Worth community! Have an idea or an event coming up our members should be aware of? Share with Kristen@USSFortWorth.org.
