We had a great visit with the sailors who came for Rodeo Weekend and Military Appreciation Day.
The sailors were able to enjoy visits to M.L. Leddy's, The Best Hat Store, and meals at 1845 Taste Texas, Joe T. Garcia's, Railhead Smokehouse, Reata Restaurant, and more. They even got to go to Billy Bob's Texas to see Pat Green. And on Monday evening they were recognized at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo.
We are so grateful to our generous sponsors who made this visit possible; we could not do it without you! Thanks to The Honorable Gordon England, Grant and Mary Margaret Davis, Early and Merry Davis, Nannette and David Eiland, Eric Fox, Tim Halden, Steve Hannifin Debbie & Albon Head, Col. Mike and Dr. Jan Kehoe, J.R. Labbe, Rudy and Jennifer Laco, Ron & Beth Parrish, Brooke Whittaker, Trish Williamson, the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, Hillwood Properties, Lockheed Martin, the Rotary Club of Fort Worth, and John Yeung with the Delta Southlake Marriott.
As many of you know -- a huge snow and ice storm hit the area and Captain White and the crew could not get back to San Diego until Thursday. John Yeung with the Delta Southlake Marriott saved the day. Not only did John provide rooms for the crew while they were visiting, but he went above and beyond and let the crew stay for three extra days. Many, many, many thanks to John for his support!
