We went to San Diego to celebrate the Anniversary of the commissioning of the USS Fort Worth, and we had a blast!
On Friday we went aboard the ship to attend the Chief Pinning Ceremony. Friday night fun was had by all at the happy hour. We were able to visit with past COs and many of the current sailors on board were there as well. Early Saturday morning we were back on board the ship for a tour and saw amazing things. Finally, Saturday afternoon we had a great turnout for a picnic to celebrate the Anniversary.
We are so grateful to our generous sponsors who made this visit possible. We could not do it without you! Thanks to The Honorable Gordon England, Early and Merry Davis, Mary Margaret and Grant Davis, Nannette and David Eiland, Sherry Flow, Terri Flow, Tim Halden, Rudy and Jennifer Laco, Drew Martin, Mayor Mattie and David Parker, Ron and Beth Parrish, Joan Vermaire, Judge Glen and Brenda Whitley, Trish Williamson, Atmos Energy, and Lockheed Martin.
Enjoy some photos from all the events.
